A LITTLE BIT ABOUT MYSELF
My name is Howard Hayman. I am a life long resident of New England and proud of it. I grew up in Central Maine, graduated from Boston University's School of Management, and settled with my family in the MetroWest area. I enjoyed a successful 34 year career with Verizon and had the opportunity to attend the Advanced Management Program at the University of Southern California. My professional and personal life is filled with love, joy, and exciting opportunities that have only expanded since I retired in 2003.
Following retirement, I turned an avocation into a vocation; I started a small business working with dogs and their owners - Per'fect-A-Pup. Despite the differences between the corporate world where I held various positions including vice president of human resources and vice president of customer service for Verizon information services and my new profession, my career afforded me the opportunity to work closely with thousands of employees and customers and develop strong interpersonal skills which are critical in working with my human clients (and their dogs).
At the end of 2003 I decided it was time to trade-in my suits and ties for jeans and a leash to further develop and refine my dog handling skills by attending The National K9 School for Dog Trainers in Columbus, Ohio. Following my training and an extensive series of exams, I was certified in the areas of canine behavior, behavior modification and obedience training. My formal training, coupled with over 40 years of dog ownership, training and handling provides me the skills and experience to help you with your canine training and behavior modification needs.
I am married with two grown children and a business partner Kelsey, my three year old Golden Retriever. My life experiences, both personal and professional, help me understand the challenges my customers face having a dog as an integral member of a busy household. From my boyhood in Maine, to my career in the corporate world, to my training in Columbus, I am prepared to work with you, your family, and your canine companion.
