It is essential that your dog clearly understands your requirements and how to meet your expectations, all of which can be accomplished through basic obedience training. I take a balanced approach to training, focusing on voice and touch for praise and voice fluctuation and leash handling for correction. It is the balance of these techniques that motivates the dog to learn and results in a well-mannered family companion. The training process helps position you as Alpha, the leader of the pack, and reinforces the dog's position within the family structure.
